Vinicio Capossela was a big surprise for me. I never heard of him nor did I know his music. It just so happened that I took my entire family, to include my father, with me to see this concert and I was happy that I did. I cannot "label" Vinicio Capossela 's music nor do I wish to do so. Some call it progressive and others call it so many other things. What I do know is that he has some very poetic lyrics that make you think. Something I like very much in these time of impulsive living. Vinicio Capossela is definitely a "showman" that has many changes of atire and uses many "odd" instruments. One of his band members even plays a jagged lumber saw. He and his band is extremely talented and puts on a great show of masterful music. The best comparison I could make is that Vinicio Capossela is a type of Italian Frank Zappa with a touch of Cabaret. I enjoyed immensely his way to interpret the medium of music and his showmanship. So did my kids. So, if you are looking for something unique, thought provoking, out of the ordinary, and entertaining go see Vinicio Capossela.
