The Snakes were a formation of amongst many created by the ongoing musical relationship between Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody. Both are originally known as the original members of Whitesnake. Like many bands, Whitesnake went through a breakup between members and the lead singer David Coverdale. After the breaking up Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody continued their music adventures by forming new bands and always had a little nostalgia for that Whitesnake feeling which they created with their great guitar performances.

The Snakes is one such formation that unfortunately did not last too long. In fact, this formation only lasted approximately 2 years. However, they were able to cut two records together. In their lineup they also had the formidable Don Airey who presently took John Lord's place in Deep Purple. This formation which also included some great musicians from Norway (Jorn Lande, Wild Willy Bendiksen, and Sid Ringsby) had a great sound and could really rock. If not anything these photos mark a period of history of Bernie Marsden, Mick Moody, and the legend of Whitesnake. In addition, these photos are definitely rare on the internet and possibly anywhere else. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed the music this formation put together.
