My album collection is pretty good but I cannot afford to buy every record/CD that is made. Unfortunately, I do not have any albums of Steve Vai. I do know who he is and remember being blew away the first time I heard him in the movie "Cross Roads." It was that guitar playing in that movie that got me interested in Steve Vai. My first impression was not to believe what I was hearing especially when it is "The Karate Kid" playing the part of the guitar player. The movie was fun but, the guitar playing was great. That is how my Steve Vai knowledge began.

Steve Vai was "WOW!" for me the first time I saw him. I am not a guitar player and I can't tell you about technique but, I can recognize it and hear it. Steve Vai has it, plus he has a unique sound that makes him Steve Vai. He is a virtuoso on the guitar and can play anything, with anyone, and anywhere. Simply put, the man is great. In addition Steve Vai has great presence on the stage and is a great showman. You can see this showmanship in the photos I have taken. You will notice that stage lighting is very particular and so is the use of a fan to move his hair. That is Steve Vai and that what makes his entire "package" so great. I don't have any albums of Steve Vai but I will soon buy some. If you like electric guitar players and want to see one of the greatest guitarist in the world then, you must go see Steve Vai. I can't wait for the next time I will have the chance to see him. Go see Steve Vai.
