Why are there so many Rock &
Roll photos for sale ? Why do I have Rock
& Roll concert photography for sale? I was born in 1955, as I grew up I heard the term "beatnick" and saw a few in New York city, but the term I remember most
growing up was Rock & Roll. I remember seeing Elvis Presley on TV in his numerous movies that took place in all parts of the
world with him kissing girls, beating up guys with his karate chops, and dancing everywhere he could. Personally, Elvis did
nothing for me and the word Rock & Roll except introduce me to girl chasing. My mother use to tell me that when I was about
4 or 5 years old I used to watch Jerry Lee Lewis on TV and go crazy. I think my taste in Rock & Roll was geared more towards
Jerry's style rather than Elvis's.
It was in the early 60's while living in Rome, Italy that my interest in Rock & Roll really started to kindle. It was not the
Beatles that "got my goat" but the Rolling Stones. "I Want To Hold Your Hand" just didn't do it for me but, the music the Stones
played did. Can't go wrong with either. Then I started to see Rock & Roll
photos of the Stones and I got hooked on
Rock & Roll concert photography. The Rock & Roll photo of Mick Jagger singing just got to me as well as left a "registered"
mark of him when viewing his large mouth.
Returning to the States between 1965-1969 I started to hear more and more about Rock & Roll
concerts. My grandfather turned
me on to the Moody Blues, and I started to listen to Rock & Roll radio stations. More and more concerts were being played. The Rock & Roll concert not only gave us great concert photography of the Rock & Roll
concert that expanded the concept of
concert photos and the concert photo but, also "turned us on" to new and great music and, it also gave us new lyrics that were never
sung before, and introduced a new way to see the world and ourselves. I am a firm believer that it was theRock & Roll
artist of the 60's & 70's that really put the pressure on the US government to stop the Vietnam War.
It was those artist that inspired me to become involved in
Rock & Roll concert photography. THE-MUSICBOX
offers concert photography for sale of some of the greatest Rock & Roll artist of all time that have
not only changed and shaped the future of music but, that have also been responsible in trying to change our world for the better.
